We are so excited to announce our new Molly O Ambassador program! Through the years, Molly O Designs has been built solely on word of mouth. Our customers are always so excited to show their local family and friends what they created in one of our classes.

But now that we are exclusively online, we need to spread the word locally and nationally! So what better way to do that then to select an amazing group of women from all walks of life to represent our brand and spread the word to everyone they know!

So, what is a Molly O Ambassadors? Our Molly O Ambassadors will be part of a select group of women. We are looking for teens, college students, young moms, single ladies, grandmothers and everything in between.  Each of our Ambassadors will be asked to create and show off 1-2 designs per month.  We will send you the kits FREE of charge and you will have the chance to preview classes before they are released to the public.  Our ambassadors will also receive a discount on all additional supplies. Each ambassador will receive classes and kits based on their interests.

If you think you may be interested, please take a moment to fill out our application below.  We will accept applications through Monday, February 20th.  Once all the applications are reviewed, we will send out additional information and guidelines to our finalists.

I saw this cute idea on numerous Pinterest pins and thought I would just whip up my own version in Photoshop. It was so quick and easy and has turned out to be the most amazing gift for both of us!

As with most husbands, my husband is an amazing provider and support system to our family. But when it comes to reminding me daily just how much he loves and appreciates me, well……………..let’s just say, he is a typical man.

But this sweet gift has changed that! We keep the frame in the bathroom on a counter by the shower. And most mornings I wake up to find a note telling me that he loves me because of all I do for our family, because I listened to him the night before, because I looked cute sleeping (yeah right!) when he woke up.  Seriously, who is this guy?! All it took was a Photoshop print out and a dry erase marker?! I think I need to start giving this as a wedding gift to young couples!

I wanted to share it with all of you because I thought it would make a great Valentine’s gift.  All you have to do is click over to our site for the FREE Printable.  Print it out and trim it down to 8×10, put it in a frame and add a dry erase marker. Gift done!

{Note} – write on the glass with the marker, it wipes right off so you can change your message as often as you would like.

Don’t forget to make one for your kiddos too! They also love to hear why we love them so much. And they will even start leaving you the sweetest messages. It will melt your heart!

This bracelet is my go-to accessory right now. I wear just one or stack several of my favorite colors. Just add them to jeans and a simple tshirt.  Simple, chic and on trend!

They are SO easy to make and I promise I will hold your hand through every step.  The best part about this bracelet is the cost! We of course had to jump on the bow band wagon.  Bows are a staple at Molly O Designs, so it wasn’t a big stretch for us to create a few new bow accessories.

Our favorite is the Bow Ring. So simple to make and even more fun to wear!  Throw on a pair of cuffed capri jeans, a fitted tshirt and a pop of color and whimsy with a bow ring. Dress it up or down. They are fun any way you wear them.

First, I know the mom has spent a lot of time and money putting that bag together. Second, I also know that it contains items that will annoy everyone in the house, especially on the drive home from the party. Lovely items like whistles that will accompany Beyonce singing Single Ladies. Stretchy frogs that can be whipped across the car and stuck to my face while driving or putty that farts when you stick your finger in it. Goodies such as candy with 27 different chemicals listed in the ingredients before you even get to “sugar”.

Inevitably, you wait until your child has lost interest, stepped on and broken half the item or is in time out for shoving one of the items in her sister’s nose, to then throw said goody bag in the garbage. Now you have the guilt of throwing away the money of the poor mother that spent time driving to the store, buying the items, packaging everything carefully and hoping none of the other mother’s judge her. Ah yes, we all do it. We all hate it. But what choice do we have?

Well this year I said enough already! I wanted a easy, inexpensive and eco friendly way to give out goodies at my daughter’s birthday party.

We decided that bows were the easy choice. We were hosting an all girl party, so I didn’t have to worry about what to make for the boys (hmmm, I guess I should come up with something for that!) All the girls that were attending wore a uniform to school, so we choose a color that would match. However, it would’ve been extremely cute to match the bows to the color theme of the party.

They were a big hit with the girls and the moms! The moms were relieved and excited to have a cute bow for their daughter to wear to school. The girls were excited that they were all going to “match” at school. As if wearing identical uniforms was not enough. LOL. They decided they were going to have a “bow club” at school and you had to wear your bow to be in the club. Good thing we invited all the girls in the class!

Once I made all the bows, I designed a card in photoshop and printed them out. I added a hole in the center and just slid the bow clip through. Could not have been easier!

And of course, the birthday girl needed her own special birthday girl version of the bow complete with a blinged out “6″ for her birthday. Matching shirt too (of course!).

No more motherly guilt (at least for a few seconds).

I was hosting a dinner party recently for 12 of my girlfriends.  I was getting tired of the same old wine charms to determine whose glass belonged to who.  I would always pick a fun charm and then end up drinking out of someone else’s glass. “Sorry about that”, I would say as I handed their glass back to them with my perfectly pink lip print on it. So I needed a new solution.

Now, you need to understand the backstory on this fun project. I am OBSESSED with chalkboard paint! Open any cabinet in my kitchen or office and you will find it painted with chalkboard paint and lists of things like appointments, menus, drawings from my kiddos and their lunch choices for the week. My name is Molly and I’m a chalkboard paint addict.  I swear, I would paint my entire house in chalkboard paint if my husband would let me. Think how it would change my life! I would tell my children that they have to color an entire wall with chalk while mommy tries out her new chalkboard wine glasses (filled with wine of course). I would have at least an hour of quiet “mommy time.”

So I was on a mission to bring together my beloved chalkboard paint and my love of wine.  I had recently purchased a set of 12 wine glasses at Bed, Bath and Beyond for just $15. They are really nice quality and have a heavy stem, especially for the price.

I decided to just start painting and see what would happen.  I used a small foam brush and regular chalkboard paint from your local hardware store. Although, I have since found ceramic/glass chalkboard paint that you can paint on and bake in your oven.

The first coat goes on very translucent.  However, even when painting cabinets, walls, etc. you need 2-3 coats, so I was expecting that. I did not tape off the stem. I found that it was easier to just free hand and turn the glass as I kept the brush steady.

I painted these over the course of 2 days, but I think you could wait about an hour in between coats and just keep going.  I used a total of 3 coats all together. I decided to use wax paper under the glasses because I didn’t want them to stick to newspaper.

Here is what they looked like when they were finished.

I just added a little jar of chalk to put next to them and my guests had a blast! They loved writing their names on the glasses and several wanted to take theirs home.  And I promise that no one drank out of the wrong glass.

Over the course of the summer some very exciting things have been developing at Molly O Designs.  Some decisions have been made, and we think that this new change in direction for Molly O is going to be amazing for our customers and our company.

We are excited to announce that Molly O Designs will be offering all of our classes via our website beginning October 15th.   

While this does mean we will no longer offer studio classes in the Las Vegas area, and I am sure many of our local customers will miss the social aspect of creating at Molly O Designs, we feel this is the best fit for our changing economy and the requests of our customers across the country.

So what does this mean exactly? This change means that not only will we offer all our existing classes as online video tutorials (many for FREE!). We will be adding over 100 new classes over the course of the next year.  We have so many amazing  ideas for classes, but many were not a good fit for the classroom. Now we can offer them online!

You will also be able to purchase all your favorite Molly O supplies via our website.  We will be adding tons of new inventory in the next few months.  And there are many new surprises coming too!

And we will finally be able to fulfill the request of our fans across the country that have not been able to take part in Molly O Designs and our classes.

In the mean time, our LAS VEGAS customers will be able to take part in an AMAZING SALE!!

We need to make room for the new inventory we will be carrying on our website. So EVERYTHING in our studio is on sale! Including all the tools that have been used during our classes.  If you want to stock up, or purchase tools to use at home, now is the time to buy them!

So I decided to create two sets of Glitter Clips to give away.  The first set is our basic lined clips in all our fabulous glitter ribbon colors.  This set can be used for little princesses, tweens, teens and even moms.  We have tons of customers who make these to just clip back their hair for the gym or running errands.  Nothing wrong with a little sparkle in your life.
